Dr. Vijayaragavan Viswanathan
Dr. Vijay Viswanathan is currently working with Medipix/Timepix technology based educational detector technology developed at Jablotron Alarms a.s and launched as “MX-10: Digital Particle Camera”.
Vijay is currently working as part of the European commission Marie-Curie project “ARDENT – Advanced Radiation Dosimetry European Network Training” coordinated by CERN (European Nuclear Research Organization) in collaboration with various other reputed research centers around the world. Currently he works with Medipix based educational device and gas detector based low cost environment monitoring system.
Vijay has more than 6 years of research and development experience working on various areas such as radiation dosimetry, camera design, EDA, thermal management, floor planning, design optimization etc. He holds a doctorate degree from Ecole central de Lyon, France. His doctoral research work was conducted in collaboration with ST Microelectronics, CEA (Atomic energy research centre of France), INeSS, IMEP-LHC. He holds a M.S in Microelectronics and Nanotechnology for Integrated Systems jointly awarded by Politecnico di Torino, Italy; Institut National Polytechnique Grenoble (INPG), France; Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne (EPFL), Switzerland. He also holds a M.S research in Microelectronics and Nanoelectronics from Universite de Joseph Fourier, France. During his masters he was involved in projects offered from Integrated Systems Laboratory, Embedded Systems Laboratory of EPFL in collaboration with IMEC, Belgium, IBM Zurich research laboratories. His passion and interest is to take technology from laboratory to the society.
